Where in the world?

Here's our itinerary over the next two weeks... February 19th - arrive in Beijing at 3pm....greeted by an "English speaking tour guide" February 20th - Orientation and tour of Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City February 21st - leave Beijing and we're driven to Samuel's province (city). We don't get to tour his orphanage, but do get to tour another orphanage. We'll stay in a hotel in his province until the 24th. February 22nd - WE GET SAMUEL! February 23rd - paperwork February 24th - Fly to Guangzhou, stay until Thursday, March 1st. We'll be busy playing with Samuel, doing paperwork and medical tests, and going to our Visa appointment and Oath-taking ceremony. Thursday, March 1st - take a train to Hong Kong to stay at an airport hotel...ready to fly home on Friday, March 2nd!

Celebrating Eli in Chattanooga!

Fred, Kay and Kelly joined us for a trip to Chattanooga to celebrate Eli's birthday!  We had a great time...Lucy and Eli were thrilled to go to the aquarium (good!), spend the night in a hotel (better!), and eat four consecutive meals all together (best!)  Of all the exhibits, I think we spent the most time watching the penguins and trying to catch butterflies in the butterfly garden.  Lu and I surprised Eli with a dinosaur cake...it was such a fun destination-celebration!
