Happy 2nd Birthday Eli!

Eli is 2 today!  We are having so much fun with him!  His constant request is to "go home...play with my toys."  He is very content to be at our house, playing with all of his cars, trains, trucks and construction equipment.  We call it his "fleet" and he spends a lot of time lining them up so they are all facing the same direction, then moving them to another room to be lined up again. 

He also really enjoys playing outside...he likes to play basketball, run after bubbles or simply "run in circles"...which he will do anywhere (airports, malls, etc.)...it is nice that he can use up his energy and entertain himself so easily!  Around the house, he likes to help with the laundry...he loves running up and down the hall with the clothes and tossing them into the dryer! 

Eli loves to read...his favorites right now are Mr. Brown Can Moo!  Can You? by Dr. Suess,  Tickle Monster by Josie Bissett, Otis by Loren Long, Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen, No, David! and David Gets in Trouble, both by David Shannon. 

Eli continues to be snuggly!  He is a husky guy, but I love to pick him up and nuzzle his neck!  He makes me laugh when he calls to us from his crib...he'll say "Mommy...Eli all done with his nap."  He talks a lot, loves to say "ROAR!" and stomp his feet "like a dinosaur!"  We love him so much!
