Before we were fa-la-la-la-la-ing, we had a good time playing outside and being with family and friends!
Our Sunday School class had a cook-out at a local farm and there were lots of things to do and see, but Lucy and Eli were simply marveled by the humongous tractor that pulled the hayride. Tire dimensions are a big deal to this almost-three-year old boy!
We had our first overnight guest, Aunt Chris! She spoiled us with her baking, hair extensions, wonderful energy for playing, gardening suggestions and iPad games! She's such a good sport that she didn't mind hanging her own shower curtain and we're holding her to her promise to visit again soon!
We celebrated Halloween with dear friends and family! Lucy loved the cowgirl costume and Eli alternated between a zebra and a (sometimes-crying) dinosaur. Maggie Mayer's Halloween playdate was so festive and fun! Kay came to Lucy and El's Costume Parade at school and she and Fred joined us Halloween night...such a treat to be together!
We had a true "it's a small world after all" moment...realizing that Lucy's teacher this year, the wonderful Ms. Heather, was one of Chris' childhood friends! They haven't seen each other in 30-years and it was neat to make that connection!
