Celebrating Grandma...

For the past 10-months that we've been planning this gathering, Grandma has insisted that it is NOT A BIRTHDAY PARTY.  So, even though she'll turn 85 on August 13th there was no singing or blowing out of candles; but there was a lot of well wishes, yummy desserts, and good laughs!  It is not easy to gather folks from Minnesota, Iowa, Montana, Pennsylvania, NYC, Texas, Australia, and Tennessee - Mom and Dad did a great job with hotel room and dining reservations...well worth our logistical efforts!  Of course, we missed Hunter and Suzanne and new baby, David...but since they're less than a week into being new parents WE TOTALLY UNDERSTAND!  :-)

...and she loved a little boy very, very much
- even more than she loved herself.

Lucky us, we made time to visit with Mom's family too...a whirlwind few days and we had so much fun....we always leave thinking, "next time we will stay longer!"

The above picture wins no awards for photography; however, it perfectly captures our awesome 5-some in action...hotel rooms don't stand a chance with this crew...beds are immediately unmade, stunts are attempted, calls to the front desk will be made by small people, and Owen might be licking Samuel's suitcase (he really, really likes it!)  We love them so!
