Whew...it was a whirlwind of activities and fun...the logistics can almost overwhelm you (carseats on airplanes, rental cars, blow-up mattresses), but we are always glad we made the effort to travel to PA! This was Avery's first trip to PA and everyone was so, so excited to meet her...Lucy and Eli were excited to introduce their cousin!
We arrived on Friday and had a great dinner that evening with Rich, Diane, Will and Elise...unfortunately, no pictures from that event...I got the camera out too late in the evening and no one was excited.
We spent Saturday morning touring Morris Arboretum and that afternoon visiting Stacey, Sadie, Ella, Susan and Stosh, then over to Aunt Chris' for dinner!
It was wonderful that Casey and David joined us for our weekend's adventures...they are such fun to be with!
Sunday was the 4th of July! Feeling patriotic, we took a steamy trip to Valley Forge park.
We spent the evening of July 4th gathered at Phil, Debbie, Eryn and Cammi's house...eating lots of yummy food, watching the kids play in the water, singing "Happy Birthday" to Uncle Phil...and being thankful to live in the USA!
Jackie was gone all weekend - she was a bridesmaid in Arizona - but we had a quick visit on Monday morning before going to the airport! Two generations of cousin-ness in this picture!
Jackie snapped this picture of us before we left...for a good laugh, notice that my hands are nicely folded...and resting on my father's leg...ha! :-)
